The Ballard High School Performing Arts Program is proud to present
two performances of a very special concert:
The Orchestra and Wind Ensemble will join with the Concert Choir and Advanced Women’s Chorale to perform John Rutter’s cantata Gloria. The basis is the Latin text of the Ordinary of the Mass, described as “..exalted, devotional and jubilant…” Rutter’s setting, which is based mainly on one of the Gregorian chants associated with the text, divides into three movements roughly corresponding to traditional symphonic structure.
